Meet our Instructors

Adriana Dal Borgo

main instructor, mentor in the programme

Adriana Dal Borgo has been teaching contemplative dance, methods of awareness through sound and dance and harmonisation of energy for more than 30 years, with courses intended for expert dancers and beginners. As the main Khaita instructor, she has overseen several publications and audio videos which go more deeply into the different aspects of the dances. She directs Khaita Dance courses and events, with shows and workshops in various countries.

Monika Marcik

Monika Marcik is a Khaita instructor, business Trainer and coach. She specialises in developing managerial and personal skills with particular emphasis on emotional intelligence, working with values, reducing stress and finding work life balance. She uses Khaita Joyful Dances at her work as a method to support the development of coaching skills and building awareness of the body, energy and mind.

Matthew Schmookler

Matthew is a Khaita Instructor,  a Tibetan physician  and a Yantra Yoga instructor. He also has extensive experience in the field of health and well-being, being an instructor of the Breathe Method and a masseur specialised in Kunye Tibetan massage, among others.

Fabian Sanders

expert in Tibetan language and history

Fabian Sanders has studied Asian languages, traditions and cultures extensively, earning his doctorate at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. For the past fifteen years, he has dedicated himself to teaching classical Tibetan language. He has also been teaching the Drajyor Tibetan phonetic transcription system for many years.

Eva Leick

Khaita instructor, researcher

Eva Leick holds a PhD in Dance Studies, with her dissertation focusing on Khaita – Joyful Dances. She is a researcher and dancer from Austria. Eva is also a founding member of the contemporary dance company subsTanz based in Graz, Austria.
