Born in Rome, Italy, since an early age Alessandra was interested in using the body and the breathing as tools to discover a deeper state of presence. She attended a dance and theatre school in Rome between the years 1998 and 2000, where she studied contemporary dance amongst other things. She then went on to focus on the study and practice of Yantra Yoga, the tibetan yoga of movement, and was authorised to teach it by Prof. Namkhai Norbu in 2010. Since then she has been teaching Yantra Yoga in Italy and Tenerife, Spain, where she now resides. In 2016 she also became a teacher of Kumar Kumari, Yantra Yoga for children, and Respira, a method that helps deconstruct old breathing patterns and release tensions, so as to rediscover a more natural breathing. In 2024, after participating in the Khaita 3 year educational program, she became a certified Khaita instructor and now regularly leads Khaita sessions in Dzamling Gar, Tenerife.
